What we take over in your Klaviyo account
Klaviyo gives you flows, segments and reports. Whether they bring revenue depends on the trigger, timing and content of each message. Julian, our Head of Retention, owns email and WhatsApp at Harucon. This is what we take over:
Flows
Automated sequences from first visit to winback. They run every day without anyone planning a send.
Segments
First-time buyers, repeat buyers, customers about to lapse and contacts who never engage.
Campaigns and design
Launch and promotion emails built for your catalog. How we work as one of the email marketing firms in this space has its own page.
List hygiene
Suppression rules for unengaged profiles, which protect deliverability and keep your billable profile count down.
Order and shipping updates, service replies and, for customers outside the US, campaigns. Details under marketing in WhatsApp.
Data sync
Store events, catalog and customer data flowing into Klaviyo correctly, so triggers fire on time.
Klaviyo is one tool inside retention, the lever that adds revenue without more ad spend. What that lever costs you per retained customer is covered on our page about the cost of customer retention.
The Klaviyo flows we start with
Six flows cover the path from first visit to third order. If one is missing, you lose revenue at a specific step:
| Flow | Trigger | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome | Newsletter sign-up | First order |
| Abandoned checkout | Checkout started, not paid | Complete the order |
| Browse abandonment | Product viewed, not added to cart | Back to the product |
| Post-purchase | Order fulfilled | Reviews, second order |
| Replenishment | Product should be running out | Reorder at the right time |
| Winback | No order for longer than usual | Bring the customer back |
Replenishment pays off for consumables like supplements, skincare and pet food. We time it from the real gap between two orders in your store, not from a template default.
Klaviyo revenue vs. shop revenue
According to the Klaviyo Help Center, Klaviyo credits an email with any order placed within 5 days of an open or a click by default. A customer who would have ordered anyway and opened your newsletter first lands in email revenue.
A holdout group shows the part that is extra. A random slice of recipients does not get the flow, then you compare revenue per recipient:
| Example: winback flow, one quarter | Value |
|---|---|
| Recipients in flow | 8,000 |
| Revenue per recipient, flow | $2.40 |
| Revenue per recipient, holdout | $1.50 |
| Revenue Klaviyo reports (8,000 × $2.40) | $19,200 |
| Extra revenue (8,000 × $0.90) | $7,200 |
Both numbers are correct. For budget and priorities, extra revenue counts, and we check it against repeat-customer revenue in your shop backend.
Active profiles: the Klaviyo cost most brands ignore
The Klaviyo Help Center explains that email plans depend on active profiles and on emails sent. An active profile is any profile you can email, regardless of consent status, so buyers who left an email at checkout without opting in count too. Suppressed profiles drop out of the billable count once processed.
| Example list | Profiles |
|---|---|
| Active profiles today | 120,000 |
| No open or click in 180 days, no order in 12 months | 45,000 |
| Active profiles after suppression | 75,000 |
Suppressing 45,000 contacts who never react cuts the profile count by 37.5%. Mailbox providers also see fewer ignored emails, which helps your messages reach the inbox. We run a last re-engagement send first, so nobody who still cares drops off the list.
Who a Klaviyo agency fits
- You use Klaviyo but mostly send newsletters and few flows.
- Your revenue depends almost entirely on new customers from paid ads.
- Your list grows, your share of repeat buyers does not.
- You want retention and Google Ads run by one team with one revenue target.
Most Klaviyo accounts we see run on Shopify. How we approach the whole store is on our Shopify agency page. The guarantee starts at $3M annual revenue, and you can book a call below that.
How we work with you
- 01
Intro call
30 minutes with Tobias, our co-founder. We look at your numbers. Afterwards you get a fixed offer in writing.
- 02
Analysis
On day 0 we lock in the baseline. We check which flows are missing, how your segments look and how many profiles you pay for without reaching them.
- 03
Implementation
From day 15 to 45 we rebuild flows, segments and templates, with holdout groups on the main flows. From day 46 we scale what works.
- 04
Measurement in your shop backend
A status update from your shop every week and a detailed review on day 30. On day 90 you count it yourself.
How to spot a good Klaviyo agency
- It shows you extra revenue. A big number in the Klaviyo dashboard alone proves little.
- It segments by behavior. The same email to the whole list costs unsubscribes.
- It knows your margin. A discount in every flow raises revenue and lowers contribution margin.
- It cleans your list. Paying for profiles that never open helps neither your bill nor your deliverability.
- It looks beyond email. Retention works better when ads and product pages pull toward the same goal.
Results, measured in the shop
At Solys the share of revenue from retention grew from 12% to 35%. The brand went from seven to eight figures, followed by the exit. Across all brands we have managed $720M in revenue.

Seven figures to eight figures.
Retention share 12 → 35%, then exit

+30% revenue in 3 months.
Acquisition cost −35%

Six figures in 3 months.
Shop built from scratch
+$100,000 revenue in 90 days at the same ad spend.
No +$100,000 on day 90? All three monthly retainers back. Measured in your shop backend, not the ad account.
The guarantee starts at $3M annual revenue. You can still book a call below that. See the conditions
Klaviyo agency: FAQ
What does a Klaviyo agency do?
It sets up flows, segments and campaigns in Klaviyo, designs the emails and improves them over time. The goal is more revenue from past buyers and subscribers.
Which Klaviyo flows should I build first?
Welcome, abandoned checkout and post-purchase. Browse abandonment, replenishment and winback follow. The order depends on where you lose the most customers today.
How does Klaviyo attribute revenue to an email?
By default Klaviyo counts any order within 5 days of an open or click as email revenue. Only a comparison with a holdout group shows which part is extra.
How can I lower my Klaviyo bill?
Klaviyo email plans depend on active profiles and emails sent, and suppressed profiles do not count. Suppressing contacts who never open, click or order lowers the count and helps deliverability.
Do you also handle WhatsApp?
Yes. WhatsApp carries order updates and service replies, plus campaigns for customers outside the US, where marketing templates deliver. We run email and WhatsApp on the same segments.
What does a Klaviyo agency cost at Harucon?
Harucon does not publish flat prices. After the intro call you get a fixed offer in writing, before anything starts.
How much revenue sits in your Klaviyo list?
On the intro call Tobias looks at your Klaviyo and shop numbers with you and shows which flows are missing. 5 quick questions, then straight to the calendar.
